Take a Book, Leave a Book

Little Free Library

In this technological era, children of all ages are more likely to pick up an electronic device rather than a book. Indeed, technology has been proven to provide access to a wide range of valuable knowledge, however, there are still so many benefits to be derived from reading a traditional book, particularly for children.

With this in mind, the Special Envoy introduced the “Little Free Library” initiative to some of the most vulnerable neighborhoods in Belize City. The project is a partnership among several organizations that donated their money and time in creating little box-like structures in which a number of books can be placed.

With these, any child in the city and beyond can take a book or leave a book free of cost!

Our ultimate goal is to have Little Libraries countrywide. Sponsor a Little Free Library today, and encourage a child to start reading!
