Spouses of CARICOM Leaders Action Network
Launch of SCLAN
The Spouses of CARICOM Leaders Action Network (SCLAN) was formally established on 5th September 2017 at a meeting held in Belize City, Belize.
The overarching goal of SCLAN is to provide a framework where First Ladies could coordinate their efforts and use their unique platforms to advocate for and implement activities geared towards addressing four areas of critical importance across the sub-region: the elimination of the mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, adolescent pregnancy, and cervical cancer.
The areas of concern mirror those identified in Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s Every Woman, Every Child Global Initiative and the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (2016-2030).
The founding members of SCLAN are:
Kim Simplis Barrow of Belize, elected Chair

The executive body is comprised of:
Mrs. Juliet Holness of Jamaica
Mrs. Maria Browne of Antigua & Barbuda
Mrs. Sybilene Patricia Minnis of Bahamas
